"Apple's" PC shipments decreased by 40.5 percent in the first quarter. Shipments of all computer manufacturers combined fell 29 percent to 56.9 million units — falling below early 2019 levels — as increased demand driven by remote work evaporated into the pandemic era, according to a recent IDC report.
Among market leaders, “Lenovo” and “Dell” recorded declines of more than 30 percent, while shipments of “HP Inc” fell 24.2 percent. No major brand escaped the slowdown, with “Asustek Computer” closing the top five down 30.3 percent.
